Homeless as a teen, sleeping in New York City subway stations. One of Queens’ early MCs by 1979, trading rhymes with Doug E. Fresh and Kool Moe Dee. After losing his grandmother he taught himself production. His record Ma Foom Bey became a Paradise Garage classic. He built Studio 05A, signed to Capitol Records, co-managed LL Cool J, represented more than fifty professional athletes, and founded the Book Bank Foundation to serve the lost, the lonely, and the forgotten. Today he operates as Managing Partner at RCP Venture Capital. Five decades of reinvention. One system.
